11 May, 2004: The ancient town of Herculaneum was buried in mud when Mt. Vesivus erupted in 79A.D. The entire town was buried under 60 meters of mud and was not discovered until the mid 1700's. This is main entrance to the baths in Herculaneum on May 11, 2004.
