01 March 2009: The Germany 3 bobsled driven by Thomas Florschuetz with sidepushers Marc Kuehne and Thomas Poege, and brakeman Alexander Metzger in the 4th run at the 4-Man World Championships competition on March 1 at the Olympic Sports Complex in Lake Placid, NY. The USA 1 bobsled driven by Steven Holcomb with sidepushers Justin Olsen and Steve Mesler, and brakeman Curtis Tomasevicz won the competition and the World Championship bringing the U.S. their first world championship since 1959.
