01 March 2009: The Russia 2 bobsled driven by Dmitry Abramovitch with sidepushers Philipp Egorov and Alexey Seliverstov, and brakeman Petr Moiseev drives through turn 19 in the 3rd run at the 4-Man World Championships competition on March 1 at the Olympic Sports Complex in Lake Placid, NY. The USA 1 bobsled driven by Steven Holcomb with sidepushers Justin Olsen and Steve Mesler, and brakeman Curtis Tomasevicz won the competition and the World Championship bringing the U.S. their first world championship since 1959 with a time of 3:36.61. The Russian sled finished in 5th place.
