Part of the audience in attendance clasp hands in prayer prior to the arrival of President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden at the War Memorial Plaza in Baltimore, Maryland on January 17, 2009. Obama and Biden are traveling by train from Philadelphia, where America's independence was declared in 1776, to Baltimore, where the National Anthem was written, and finally to Washington DC for their inauguration. The Whistlestop Tour is intended to resemble the train trip President Abraham Lincoln took from Springfield, Illinois to Washington DC for his inauguration in 1861.
